NZ Premiership football semifinal epic: 4-4, 6-6 - shootout

Team Wellington and Waitakere United have played out one of the greatest games of national league football ever seen in New Zealand.

It had it all, 12 goals, a red card, contentious moments, extra time and a penalty shootout, which Team Wellington won 3-2 after the Stirling Sports Premiership semifinal finished 6-6 following an enthralling 120 minutes of football.

Joel Stevens thought he had won it for Team Wellington when putting his side up 6-5 in the 118th minute - their first lead of the match - but Waitakere's impressive striker Pascal Reinhardt equalised in added time, of the second half of extra time to send the game to penalties.
