Team Wellington FC are excited to announce its first ever “Open Training Session” on Thursday 20th October at David Farrington Park. The new monthly event is aimed at bringing a new experience for local fans, supporters and club members of the Wellington Football Community to come and meet this seasons Team Wellington stars.
With free entry and gates opening at 6:45pm supporters can enjoy an inside view of Team Wellington First Team training, meet and greet the players, get up close and personal with the Stirling Sports Premiership and Youth League trophies from last years winning campaigns along with special giveaway and prizes for the kids.
Head Coach José Figueira sees the Team Wellington FC open training session as an important part of building the teams cultures: “The open training sessions represents an opportunity for the local wellington football community to get to know the players, and get a sneak peak of our training methods and playing style”.
José Figueira believes it is a great opportunity for supporters to get to know the players and club: “We are encouraging as many of the local community and supporters to come along and enjoy themselves, especially the young junior and youth players across Wellington. With players like Joel Stevens and Cameron Howieson (All Whites) and last years Golden Boot Ben Harris, young players can get unprecedented access to these local and national football stars”.
The Team Wellington Open Training Session kicks off on Thursday 20th October at David Farrington Park. Entry is free for all with all clubroom facilities open including $2 sausage sizzle and $5 BBQ dinner and Q & A session with the Team Wellington FC players and Staff after training.
